Traditional Thadobati Bowl 13cm – 18cm

The Thadobati Singing Bowl is one of the classic traditional forms of Himalayan singing bowl, recognised by its relatively simple shape, gently curved base and upright walls. Its timeless design creates a beautifully balanced sound and makes the Thadobati a versatile bowl for both personal and professional practice.

These bowls are particularly valued for their clear fundamental tones and rich natural overtones. When struck, the initial note opens into layers of harmonics that continue to develop as the bowl resonates, producing a sound that is both warm and complex.

Thadobati bowls are also highly responsive when sung around the rim, allowing different tones and higher harmonics to emerge depending on the striker, pressure and playing technique used.

Their combination of clarity, sustain and harmonic richness makes them excellent for sound healing, meditation, sound baths and combining with other bowls to create musical intervals and layered soundscapes.

Each Thadobati is individually selected for its tonal qualities, with its own unique fundamental frequency, overtones and sound character.

Bowl comes with cushion, stick, and mallet included.

Please Note : As traditional singing bowls produce multiple frequencies simultaneously, the perceived note can vary depending on playing technique, mallet, recording equipment and which harmonic is most prominent. The specifications listed represent our measurements of the physical bowl and may not exactly match measurements taken from recorded audio.
