The Lingam Singing Bowl is distinguished by the raised protrusion at its centre, known as the lingam. In Hindu tradition, the lingam is associated with Shiva and the masculine principle or male energy, traditionally understood in relationship with the feminine principle, Shakti.

When struck, the Lingam bowl produces a deep, sustained resonance with a strong lingering vibration. Played with a soft mallet, the sound develops gradually, allowing its deeper tones and natural overtones to bloom and continue long after the initial strike.

Lingam bowls are traditionally used in body-based sound practices, and their deep vibration makes them particularly suited to playing around the navel and abdominal region. The sustained resonance can create a powerful physical sensation when the bowl is used close to the body.

Its combination of symbolic meaning, distinctive construction and sustained tonal character makes the Lingam bowl a beautiful choice for sound healing, meditation, grounding practices and ceremonial use.

Bowl comes with cushion, stick, and mallet included.

Please Note : As traditional singing bowls produce multiple frequencies simultaneously, the perceived note can vary depending on playing technique, mallet, recording equipment and which harmonic is most prominent. The specifications listed represent our measurements of the physical bowl and may not exactly match measurements taken from recorded audio.
